Hello and welcome to the Rotherhithe Pet and Wildlife Support website (R-PAWS)

This website has been put together for people who live or work in Rotherhithe, and who have questions about pet and wildlife welfare and support.

There is a lot of support available locally, both official and unofficial, and this site is designed to help you find out how to access it. If you have lost a cat or dog, found a stray, or are thinking of adopting, the Pets section will help you to find the right people to talk to, and suggest some actions you can take to help yourself. If you have spotted an injured swan, seen children tormenting local wildlife or want to know who is responsible for putting up the nesting boxes, have a look at the Wildlife pages, which should point you in the right direction.  The Contacts section will put you in touch with local support groups.

Information is divided into a number of sections, as shown on the left. You can also use the navigation bar on the top of this and other pages to find the information that you need.  A site map can also be found at the bottom of every page.

I have tried to ensure that all the content on each page is accurate and up to date. I have have sought professional advice and other assistance where appropriate, but although the advice on this website is meant to help you, it should not be treated as a definitive and foolproof guide. There may well be other or better ways of dealing with issues that I have not covered.  You will find some recommended contacts and other sources on appropriate pages. If you would like to suggest any changes or additions, please email me.

Many people have helped to provide information and photographs, for which I would like to express my most sincere thanks (see the Acknowledgments section for some of the terrific contributors).

I hope that if you find the information that you need here, and I welcome any comments and suggestions that you may have.  Please email if you have any comments.
